Two weeks of intense work at the Session in Betharram

Here is the diary of the session that Fr. Glecimar Guilherme da Silva SCJ sent us:

Two weeks of intense work at the Session in Betharram

“On June 22, in the morning,  we had the presentations of the Saint Myriam of Jesus Crucified and Saint Michael Garicoïts Regions. In the afternoon we took a prayerful walk along the Way of the Cross of Betharram, culminating in the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Jacky Moura SCJ in the Chapel of the Resurrection.

The morning of 23 June continued with the presentation of the Region Ven. Fr. Auguste Etchécopar. In the afternoon we went to the chapel where the relics of St. Michael rest, and Fr. Jacky helped us immerse ourselves in the spirituality of St. Michael, with a nice explanation of the architecture of the place and the virtues that are visibly represented in the iron railing.

In the evening Fr. Stervin invited us to a singular prayer in the chapel of Saint Michael. There, in front of the Saint's relics, we experienced a moment of reflection: "Betharram is a dream of God come true for us thanks to Saint Michael Garicoïts!". A time when faith and devotion have surpassed what we had read and "studied" about our Father Michael.

On June 24, we concelebrated the Eucharist at 11.00 am in the Shrine of Our Lady of Betharram. Fr Laurent introduced to the congregation all the religious taking part in the session and at the end we were greeted and welcomed by the local people, who thanked us for coming to Betharram."
