Feast at Maepon
The anniversary of the Assumption was celebrated on 19 and 20 August in Maepon's mission. It was also an occasion to welcome and to know the four new priests (three from the diocese of Chiang Mai and one from the Order of the Friars Minor Capuchin) and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the consecration of Sister Maria Naruemon Krabuansiri who lives and works in Mission of Maepon.
The important moment of the days was the Eucharistic celebration followed by the community lunch.
About 500 people came up for the occasion. There were also children who were living in the mission; all were welcomed by the superior of the community and responsable of the mission: Fr Suthon Khiriwathanasakun SCJ, with Fr Bi-Thu Pitak David SCJ, Fr Thinakorn Martin de Tours Damrongusasin SCJ, Fr Mongkhon Charoentham SCJ and Fr Gabriel Pornchai Sukjai SCJ, recently returned to Thailand after having been in the community of Pau (France).
