A look of hope

San Bernardino (Paraguay) 6 May 2017. Our 27th General Chapter began with the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Bishop Ignacio Gogorza SCJ, Emeritus Betharramite Bishop of Encarnación who encouraged us to have a look of hope to bring a message of mercy to this wounded world.

Then, with all the celebrating clergy and religious and with the Paraguayan laity who came to celebrate this event, the bishop blessed the Retreat house.

After a friendly meal, it was the opening of the Chapter by the Superior General, in the presence of the 26 deputies and the 2 invited religious; The two deputies of the Vicariate of India (Fathers Stervin and Biju) and the guest of Vietnam (Father Yessudas) will join us on May 10 because of administrative problems.
