25th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr. Tiziano Pozzi SCJ

The faithful of the Betharramite Parish of the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" in Lissone (Italy) gathered around Fr. Tiziano Pozzi SCJ (Regional Vicar of the Central African Republic) on the occasion of his 25th anniversary of priestly ordination.

The parish priest, Fr. Giacomo Spini SCJ, the Regional Vicar for Italy, Fr. Piero Trameri SCJ, Fr. Francesco Radaelli SCJ and Fr. Carlo Sosio SCJ joined Fr Tiziano in this celebration.

In the homily, Fr. Tiziano recalled the years spent in the parish where his vocation was born. Then he recalled the 25 years spent in Niem, in the Central African Republic, a forgotten land marked by years of fighting and guerrilla warfare.

At the end of his homily, he encouraged the young people not to be afraid: "If you hear a call, do not be afraid to follow it. Being a priest is a beautiful thing; and it is good to put your whole life at the service of others. Despite the difficulties we face in our daily life, nobody can take away this happiness from us”.

Then Fr. Tiziano expressed his gratitude to all those who attended the celebration, in a special way his mother, the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Gemona, who are also carrying out their mission in Niem, and the volunteers who have rendered their service to the mission over the years.

The feast then continued in the parish gym with a community lunch.
