The closing event of the Year of Consecrated Life in Ivory Coast
Saturday, February 6, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro (Ivory Coast), the year dedicated to the Consecrated Life ended with a solemn celebration.
The celebration was attended by the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Joseph Spiteri and twelve bishops of the dioceses of the Ivory Coast.
The Bishops wanted this celebration to be a national event. In fact, about two thousand religious men and women flocked from various dioceses of the country to be present at this event.
The program included different contributions. Among them a lecture on the theme: “Consecrated people, witnesses of the mercy of the Father."
Religious were strengthened and enriched by this graceful opportunity .
The religious of the three Betharramite communities ( Adiapodoumé, Dabakala and Yamoussoukro) were also present at the meeting.
