The betharramite mission in the Central African Republic turns 30.
The 1984-1985 Chapter of the Italian Province had called for the opening of a mission ad gentes which would be linked directly to the Province itself; the 1986 Chapter decided to, “consider favorably the request of the Bishop of Bouar asking to establish a Betharramite community in his Diocese.”
After 30 years, the Vicariate of Italy has planned to celebrate this anniversary.
In fact, on December 3 and 4, the Betharramite Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lissone, organized a symposium to present to the wide public testimonies and images of this happy occasion.
