A very instructive pilgrimage...
On the days 10-11-12 July, the participants of the international session, accompanied by their formators, went on a long pilgrimage to discover some places where St. Michael Garicoits and St. Ignatius of Loyola lived some important events of their life.
Sunday, July 10, in the morning, the group took part in the celebration of the Sunday mass in the St Laurent Parish Church of Cambo, where St. Michael was assistant priest for one year and a half. In the afternoon the group reached Bayonne and visited the Cathedral where St. Michael was ordained as a priest and later the port from which the first Betharramite missionaries set sail for Latin America.
Monday, July 11, the group traveled to Loyola, to visit the Basilica of St. Ignatius. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Fr. Jean-Paul Kissi SCJ, on the occasion of the first anniversary of his priestly ordination.
Finally, Tuesday, July 12, the group visited the Castle of Javier, the birthplace of St Francis Xavier.
