The Adiapodoume Community celebraes St. Mary of Jesus Crucified
Sunday, May 17 the Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified was canonized by His Holiness Pope Francis in Rome. The close links between the Betharram fathers and St Mary of Jesus Crucified, led the Adiapodoume Community to pray in communion with the Holy Father, with the Carmelites and the Betharramites around the world.
For this occasion, in the Parish of St. Bernard of Adiapodoume there was a Eucharistic celebration to give thanks to God for the gift of Saint Mary of Jesus Crucified to our religious family and to the universal Church.
On 5 May 5 and 12 the fathers Sylvain Dansou SCJ and Emmanuel Winonga SCJ were involved in two national Catholic radio broadcasts to introduce the newly canonized saint to the listeners.
For May 17 a special program was prepared. At 8.30, Fr. Joseph Ouedraogo SCJ talked about St Mary and her family before her joining the Carmel at Pau; Fr Sylvain Dansou SCJ, spoke again about the relationship between Mary of Jesus Crucified, the Carmelite Sisters and the Betharram Fathers. After this talk, a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr Sylvain Dansou, was broadcast live on a catholic national radio channel.
