Priestly Golden Jubilee in Brazil
On the evening of December 20, Fathers Paulo Vital Campos SCJ and Antonio Scarpa SCJ, concelebrated the Eucharist in the Mother Church of Conceição do Rio Verde, Minas Gerais (Brazil), where they were ordained priests on 20 December 1964.
The Golden Jubilee of these brothers marks the achievement of a life spent in serving God's people in various ministries: as teachers, parish priests as well as formators.
They were very moved when they went down the memory line with the parishioners and reminisced about how the “Brazilian Betharram” was first established and how it grew after the Second Vatican Council into a wiser and richer community.
This was the climax of the year 2014 that was blessed with newly-ordained priests in the Vicariate and throughout the whole Region Fr Auguste Etchecopar.
