Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in Mangalore
On February 2, the Formation Community of Mangalore celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, World Day for Consecrated Life.
The day started a with Solemn Morning prayer, where Fr. Biju Antony enlightened the community with the Feast day message and thereby the representatives of the brothers along with fathers lighted the lamp which symbolized Christ as our Light. The candle light procession that carried Infant Jesus to the main chapel and continued the morning prayer which ended with a special blessing by Fr. Luke and Fr. Biju Antony over the brothers and the Children of St. Michael Care Home. The day became more meaningful for each of us as our community joined the celebration of the Eucharist with our neighboring orphanage (Balagraha) run by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters as their community celebrated their Patronal Feast today.
