Beatification ceremony of Father Édouard Cestac
On May 31, Father Louis-Edouard Cestac, founder of the Servants of Mary and companion of Michael Garicoits in the Seminary, was beatified during a solemn celebration presided by Cardinal Angelo Amato (Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints).
The solemn ceremony was held in the Sainte- Marie Cathedral, in Bayonne.
Our Congregation was present at this joyful event with our Superior General, Fr Gaspar Fernández Pérez SCJ, the Regional Vicar for France and Spain, Fr Jean-Dominique Delgue SCJ and the Superior of the community of Anglet (birth place of the Congregation of the Sisters Servants of Mary), Fr Beñat Oyhénart SCJ.
