A time to celebrate and a time to say farewell
We have received this pieces of news from the Mangalore Community. It was indeed a joyous and sad moment for our community on 22nd of July, as we gave farewell to Fr. Biju Antony SCJ who served the community for eight years. The Thanksgiving Day was made meaningful as Fr. Biju Antony presided over the Eucharist along with other fathers.
On this day, the invited guests, benefactors, teachers, neighboring communities and all our well-wishers reassured their support and encouragement with their presence. A felicitation ceremony followed by the farewell meal made this day a memorable one.
The Indian Vicariate was blessed again with two more new priests namely Fr. Satish Paul Raj SCJ and Fr. Jude Daniel Vijay SCJ, as they were ordained by Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore on 25th of this month. Indeed we feel blessed as they were trained in this very community.
Our community also celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Betharram on 28th of July and we also had our Monthly recollection on 29th by Fr. Stervin SCJ who enlightened the students about the virtue of humility with his talk.
