Missionary Community of Montevideo
A few days ago, the new mission in the Diocese of Uruguay Tacuarembó-Rivera got under way ! This piece of news comes from the "end of the world."
Fr Enrique Gavel had remained alone in the house called "Los Vascos" in Montevideo. The Fr Augusto Etchecopar Region, after a long period of discernment, on February 10th gave life once again to this community, made up of Fathers Enrique Gavel and Angelo Recalcati, by the deacon Wagner and Br Victor. The community will be based in Montevideo, in the house called “Los Vascos”, but with their pastoral work they will reach out to the inner areas of Tacuarembó-Rivera Diocese.
This is how Betharram is responding to the Pope Francis’ invitation to “go fourth” and reach the fringes of humanity.
