“Extended” Council of the Congregation meeting.
Sunday, January 19, with a solemn Mass presided by Fr Gaspar Fernandez Perez SCJ, Superior General, we started the Council of the Congregation with the presence of the Regional Vicars.
The celebration was in Rome, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church, entrusted to the pastoral care of a Betharramite Community.
This extended Council of the Congregation meeting was called by the Superior General to emphasize in particular the 150th anniversary of the death of St. Michael, our Founding Father, and to meet all the Superiors (Regional and Regional Vicars) in order to assess the situation of the Congregation in the mid- term of their mandate.
In fact, after a report presented by Fr Gaspar, the Regional Vicars in turn took the floor: they outlined the situation of their respective Vicariates, bringing out lights and shadows, failures and hopes.
We are experiencing an important moment for the entire Congregation - we rely on the prayers of you all!
