The “BetharrAmici” in Rome
On 5 and 6 October, the young lay BetharrAmici gathered in Rome - as for the past two years - for a meeting of prayer and evangelization based on the theme of hope.
"Do not let your hope be taken away from you", this is the motto launched by Pope Francis to the youth of the whole the world. The BethrrAmici treasured these words and full of hope ventured into a new mission to give to others this joy and love.
The days in Rome were marked by some reflection and sharing with Fr Simone Panzeri SCJ who highlighted the strong link between love and hope. The youth evangelized those present in Piazza del Popolo (Chiesa dei Miracoli) and then moved to Piazza San Pietro to listen to the words of Pope Francis during the Sunday Angelus.
This annual event that takes place in Rome always brings something new and enriching to the young "BetharrAmici". They never leave Rome empty-handed, but with new enthusiasm urging them to go “always forward” as Saint Michael would say.
