Cardinal Angelo Scola, Archbishop of Milan, sent to the Betharramites present in the Milan diocese, a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Jubilee Year in honor of St. Michael Garicoïts which will open on May 14. Here is the text ...
"Dear Betharram Fathers and Brothers, I am pleased to join you on the occasion of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Saint Michaels death.
It is a time of celebration and thanksgiving for the teachings and the example of your Founder who, with his vision he felt the need to pursue a work of evangelization with missionary spirit in rapidly changing contexts.
With the same enthusiasm, the Congregation continues his work today by being present where it is needed, helping the local Churches, acting in the formation of young people, in the works of assistance to answer the call of Christ with a total and confident Here I am!.
This is your commitment which I accompany with a special prayer that you may always bear witness to your motto: always forward!
