France - Pau
Saturday, January 12 the community of Pau hosted a meeting of young Betharramite Religious living in Europe, for a day of sharing, prayer and on-going formation.
In September 2012, the formation team of the Region of Saint Michael Garicoïts met in Adiapodoume (Ivory Coast) and stressed the importance for young religious belonging to different vicariates, to meet together and share their experience for their personal and community growth. In order to reach this goal, Frs Gérard Zugarramurdi (from Betharram), Simone Panzeri (from Rome), Emmanuel Congo Winonga (from Pibrac) and Stervin Selvadass Fernando (from Pau) met on Saturday January 12th in Pau under the guidance of a Jesuit, Fr Guy Lepoutre.
They had the opportunity to know each other better and to reflect together sharing joys, projects and challenges that they live in their respective communities. The meeting was from 10 am to 3.30 pm with lunch at 12 with the Pau community. At 3.30 they concluded the meeting with the Eucharistic celebration; next meeting will be on April 27th at Pau and the theme will be the vows poverty, chastity and obedience. On that occasion Fr Gabriel Sukjai Phornchai (member of the Pau community) will join the group. This a good opportunity to grow together as betharramite brothers.
