Argentina- Buenos Aires
Monday March 18, in plaza de May symbolic place in the City of Buenos Aires, it was a very special night. Around 30 thousand people, most of them teenagers and young people, gathered together to watch and pray for the recently elected Pope Francis, who was Archbishop of that City until last week.
The vigil - made of songs, prayers and dances around the motto We saw you off as our Bishop and we welcome you as our Pope - went on until 5.30 a.m. (local time) when images of Pope Francis celebrating the beginning of his Petrine ministry, came on the screen.
Young people from our Betharramite communities of San José, Barracas, Coronado and Rosario were also present in Plaza de Mayo to feel part of the Church in prayer for the new Pope at the beginning of his Petrine ministry.
