A new Association for missionary cooperation called "A.MI.C.I." has been set up
Lately, the Centre for Missionary Cooperation of Albavilla has begun to function as an NPO organization, called “A.MI.C.I Betharram O.N.L.U.S." (AMICI, in Italian, is an acronym which stands for International Cultural Missionary Association).
The main aim of this Association is the socio-medical assistance to people in developing countries: construction and management of schools, professional training centers, health clinics, with the help of the Betharram Religious missionaries living and operating in the areas concerned.
In addition, the Association is also a "Centre for Missionary Animation", with a new legal status, headed by Fr. Piero Trameri scj, procurator for the missions, assisted by Mr. Giovanni Parolari, a layman who for one year did volunteer work in the Betharram mission post of Bouar (Central African Republic).
