Thailand - Chiang Mai

On September 21st the Betharram Alumni met in Chiagmai. The meeting began with a friendly football match and there were 50 participants.

All of us were very happy because we had not met for more than 10-20 years. It was a good thing to meet each other again because it reminded us of what Betharram seminary had given us. We enjoyed the night together: we had a meal, we sang, we shared about what we had experienced together in the past.
On September 22nd we welcomed everybody and we had breakfast. At 10.00 we began our meeting led by fr. Mongkhon the promoter of this meeting with the cooperation of Fr. Chaiyot, Fr. Kriangsak, Fr. Chockdee, Fr. Pornchai and Fr. Chanchai. First of all we welcomed all our former seminarians and we explained the purpose of the meeting. Fr. Chanchai presented the Betharram foundation of Thailand and he said that all of us can help each other through Betharram foundation in different ways. Then we introduced ourselves and we expressed our feelings . Most suggested that we should meet every year to support the Betharram community in Thailand. At 11.30 we finished with the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Peter Chaiyot.
