Thailand - Mauloklo
The Parish of Mauloklo, founded by Betharramite missionaries and now run by a diocesan priest, Fr Tun, celebrated the Golden Jubilee on December, 29th.
In a joyful atmosphere of gratitude, Mgr Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana, bishop of Chiang Mai, presided over the Jubilee celebrations attended by 800 participants. Fr Pedebideau was the first Parish priest from 1960-1983; along the years, Fr. Mirco, Fr. Rodriguez and Fr. Caset visited the people in various villages as Mauloklo (Catholic name Khailai), Looklo, Laiklo Maekiklo (Catholic name Blahsuihai), Kokhauklo, Kocauklo (Catholic name Hpasoohse).
