Holy Land - Bethlehem

From Sunday, June 26th in the afternoon to the next Tuesday 5 pm, the novices of the Region Saint Michael Garicoits, their master and his assistant meditated on the theme of nonviolent communication.

Organized at the community of Bethlehem and facilitated by Fr Guy Theunis, of the missionaries of Africa (White Fathers), this 3-day session allowed each one to discover the techniques of nonviolent communication (NVC). Worked out by Marshall Rosenberg in the 60s, these techniques are a method to create between the human beings relationships based on empathy, compassion, harmonious cooperation, respect for oneself and the others. What I look for in life, said this American psychologist, it is kindness, an exchange with others motivated by a mutual impulse of the heart. What could be more relevant for these novices of the Betharramite Here I am!
We encourage and we wish good luck to these young people and their formators who, so well equipped with these soft instruments and with the grace of God, will know how to develop communication where any violence will be banished!
