Rome - Generalate House
From January 24th to February 4th , there was a studying atmosphere in the General House.
In the brand-new meeting room with St. Michael in glory as a backdrop (the restored tapestry of his beatification) some Religious worked hard for the next general chapter. The Preparatory Committee, made up of the members of the General Council and the three regional superiors, planned the themes of the Chapter and the details about the accommodation of the religious. At the same time the Rule of Life commission was giving the final touches to the main subject of the Chapter: our new Constitutions. The Mass celebrated at Our Lady of the Miracles wound up this ten days meeting full of discussions and reflections but also of prayers and sharing. Like the letter of St. Michel which inspired their concluding "narratio fidei", the participants felt that "God blessed [their] work for their brothers, and this led to this peaceful and restful expression of praise: blessed be God "(Corr. II, 392) ... All this was lived in a very Betharramite humility and confidence!
