England - Birmingham

On October 15th  the  Project Anawim, based on the Parish of Saints John & Martin in Balsall Heath (Birmingham) celebrated the Silver Jubilee.

England - Birmingham

The project Anawim (meaning in the bible “little ones of the Lord”) supports abused women and children at risk and more recently women from prison or in any need. This work is done in facilities of the Parish of Ss John and Martin, run by the Betharram fathers. The Eudist Sisters started this work 25 years ago. In our Church there was a Service of prayer and thanksgiving in which the workers, Sisters, women and Fr Dominic Innamorati, the Parish Priest, took part. To commemorate this event the Deputy Lord Mayor of B'ham planted a tree and installed a plaque in the garden.
This work is supported by the Parish and the Betharram Congregation mainly through Fr Dominic and the Diocese of B'ham.
