India - Mangalore
On Friday, November 4th Fr Austin Hughes arrived in Mangalore and was welcomed by the Maria Kripa Community.
With our Kannada brothers, the community celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava, a feast of the state of Karnataka remembering the anniversary of the state. It was a colourful day with flower carpet, hoisting of the state flag, volleyball match, Kannada Mass celebrated by the parish priest, and a cultural program in the night etc.
A few days before, on October 31st, the community celebrated the conclusion of the month of Rosary and had a grand prayer service.
On November 5-6 Fr Austin led the monthly recollection on the theme Experiencing God in Everything.
On 8th the community welcomed Fr. Tidkham, the Vicar of Thailand.
