France - Pibrac
On Sunday, September 25, the Pibrac & Brax Parish (called Pibrax), began the new pastoral year reflecting on the meaning of prayer.
The agenda of the day was very busy: all started with the Sunday Mass in the Basilica of Saint Germaine, which since October 2010 has become basilique mineure. The Mass was celebrated by a passing guest, Mons: Ignace Bessi, Bishop of Katiola, where our brothers of Dabakala live. During the mass, the different leaders of the Parish received a special blessing.
In the early afternoon we had then the aperitif followed by a community meal. After the meal, a presentation was projected to show the work of restoration of the Friary. Then in the sunlit park a sharing on the Parish life followed.
Mons. Robert Le Gall, Archbishop of Toulouse, who was celebrating in the Parish Church with the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, joined us for a time of adoration and vespers in the new oratory of the Friary. He took this opportunity to bless the newly refurbished Friary in the presence of the local authorities (the mayors of Pibrac and Brax). An aperitif and meal in the new kitchen wound up this beautiful day.
