France - Saint-Palais
On June 2nd , the Betharram Fathers and the Parish of Saint-Palais wanted to mark the bicentenary of the first Communion of St. Michael Garicoits.
The procession with the Holy Casket started from Oneix, where Michael was a farmhand in the Anguélu family, and reached the church of Garris, where our founder received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. Meanwhile, Fr Emmanuel Congo led a special celebration for children. The Mass was presided by Fr Bertrand Salla, Superior of the community, and the homily was given by Fr Beñat Oyhénart. The association "At the Heart of the World" was also present for this festive, eucharistic and missionary gathering ... in the heart of the Basque Country.
