France - Betharram
On July 28th, the church at the edge of the river Gave resounded with the hymns of the religious and the faithful who rushed to the mass for the solemnity of Our Lady of Betharram.
Fr Gaspar Fernandez , superior general reelected last May, presided over the celebration, assisted by Fr. Jean-Dominique Delgue, Vicar of France-Spain, and by Fr. José Mirande, who came from Brazil to celebrate his Golden Jubilee of priesthood. In a meditative and serene climate, the Fathers and Brothers celebrating their jubilee and their friends offered at Marys feet their actions of grace and their intentions of prayer. After a festive meal at the Maison Neuve, this beautiful day ended with the vespers led by Fr. Michel Vignau, chaplain of the sanctuaries..
