Ivory Coast - Yopougon
On Sunday, February 6th, the Diocese of Yopougon, led by the Bishop (Mons Laurent Mandjo) and by the Auxiliry Bishop (Mons Salomon Lézoutié) celebrated the Consecrated Life World Day .
Some 50 members of the religious congregations and of the societies of apostolic life were present. The ecclesial fraternity was expressed through the Eucharist, a talk on religious life, the adoration and the informal meetings. The Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Bétharram was represented by our Brothers from Adiapodoumé.
The youngest were gathered with other temporary professed members from the dioceses of the Yopougon, Abidjan, Bassam and Agboville, in the parish St. Vincent de Paul of Abobo-doumé. The president of the Ivorian Major Superiors Conference gave a talk about the radicality of religious life in the African Context. More than a 60 young religious attended the event, which included, as for their elders, Eucharist and fraternal meal.
