Betharram - Communication

On July 28th the Archbishop Pietro Sambi, apostolic Nuncio in Washington, died in Baltimora (USA).

Mons Sambi, was born 73 years ago in a town in the Province of Cesena (Italy). In 1998 was appointed as pontifical representative in Cyprus and Israel and as apostolic delegate for Jerusalem and Palestine where he was very active in favour of the Christians in Holy Land. He was a friend of Betharram and he appreciated the work carried out by Betharram for the Nunciature and for the Mother Church in Jerusalem.
