Argentina - Rosario
For over 32 years at the Sacred Heart College in Rosario a group of pupils fathers called "Papuchos" (daddies) has been very active.
These fathers linked to Betharram school meet regularly with their spiritual guide, Fr Bruno Ierullo, to cultivate friendship through games (soccer, mainly), Eucharist, sharing and good food. Their circle of friendship has progressively extended to all major appointments of the educational community, such as the mission of Santiago del Estero in which Papuchos are involved. Last year, during their Friday night meeting they had a reflection on different topics such as inner peace, marriage, prayer, charity, family, social exclusion, etc. The texts, on which they based their sharing, have just been published in a book. Its title - "Aquí estoy" printed over a portrait of St. Michael Garicoïts, shows how eager they are to live the "Here I am" by being faithful to their lay vocation.
