The solemnity of St. Michael Garicoïts, our Founder, was celebrated on Saturday 14 May in Betharram during a beautiful meeting with the laity of the Fraternity and with all those who collaborated in our mission, in particular the laity who came from Pibrac, from Pau. and from Betharram.

The ancient Carmel of Pau, founded in 1852 by the Carmel of Oloron, was under the patronage of the "Sacred Heart of Jesus"; that is why the Pau community wanted to start the celebrations in honor of St. Mary of Jesus Crucified in the evening of the feast of the Sacred Heart.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary in honor of St. Michael Garicoïts, the group of the Fraternity "Me Voici" of Limoges organized a series of meetings to make the Saint of Betharram better known to the public.

The solemnity of our Father St. Michael Garicoïts was celebrated throughout the world.

On July 28th in Betharram, we opened the celebrations in honour of Our Lady of Betharram with the morning prayer in the Chapel of Saint Michael Garicoits. The lay associates, who are sharing the mission work with us, were also invited.

Here in England the celebrations for the Canonization of Sr Mary of Jesus Crucified went well.  A leaflet about the life of St Mariam was distributed in most of our Parishes. (It was impossible to distribute them to all our parishes since they were receiving late them from the printers). These leaflets were welcomed by everyone.

On 19 and 20 May, the feast of the Transverberation of the heart of Saint Mary of Jesus Crucified was celebrated in Pau. It was presided over by Fr. William Maria Merchat (diocesan delegate of the Opera d'Oriente and professor at the Jean de la Croix institute, spirituality center of the Discalced Carmelite Province of Avignon-Aquitaine).

Niem, June 8th - The solemnity of Pentecost could not have been spent in a better way in Niem. In a single day, three celebrations took place: the solemnity of Pentecost, the Parish feast day, and the 60th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Fr. Arialdo Urbani SCJ, none other than the founder of the mission.

On Sunday, June 22nd, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the 500th anniversary of the devotion to Our Lady of Miracles was celebrated. The image is kept by the Betharramite Fathers in the Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.

Thursday, May 7  - On the occasion of the Vicariate Assembly, the communities of the Holy Land celebrated in advance the feast of St. Michael Garicoits and the Golden Jubilee of priestly ordination of Fr Firmin Bourguinat SCJ.
