Perpetual profession
January, 27 - On the morning of the last day of the Regional Chapter held in Chiangmai from 23 to 27 January, a solemn and joyful event crowned the work of the Chapter Assembly.
During a joyous concelebration in the chapel of Ban Betharram, Chiang Mai, mother house of the mission of Betharrm in Thailand, Br John Weerapong Youhae, made his perpetual profession in our religious family.
Fr. Chan Kunu SCJ, first regional vicar, presided over the concelebration and Father Enrico Frigerio SCJ, regional superior, delegate of the superior general, received the vows of Br Weerapong. The concelebration was attended by all the members of the Regional Chapter, the religious of the Vicariate of Thailand, some priests of the diocese of Chiang Mai, in the presence of men and women religious, benefactors and well-wishers.
In the afternoon, Br Weerapong continued to participate in the regional chapter to which he had been invited by the regional superior after the scholastics had elected him as their delegate to the Chapter itself.
