St Michael Garicoits’ feast in his native village, Ibarre
Ibarre, August 28, 2019 - More than 500 pilgrims from the Basque Country, as per tradition, gathered together to pray St Michael Garicoïts, at Ibarre, his native village.
About twenty diocesan priests and Betharramite religious from four continents took part in the concelebration presided by the Abbot Jean-René Prédaigne who in the afternoon led the Way of the Cross.
He invited the pilgrims to follow the path of holiness with joy and faith, in the footsteps of Saint Michael Garicoits.
The benediction with the Blessed Sacrament at “Garacotchea”, the native place of Saint Michael, ended the day’s celebrations.
It was a day full of prayer and fruitful encounters.
