Spiritual retreat for the Betharramite laity of the Vicariate of Argentina-Uruguay
On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 of November, the Betharramite Lay Associates of the Vicariate of Argentina-Uruguay gathered at Martin Coronado for a two-day retreat.
This was an opportunity to encourage lay people to experience the presence of that "Good God" preached by our Founder and the discarded brothers of society as required by the Church.
The lay people began the retreat by meditating on the faith journey that inspired St. Michael to open schools, encourage missions in Latin America, live with love and communion with priests and brothers and spend nights in writing letters.
Taking the motto as the starting point, the group reflected on the meaning of the word "Life". It was first referred to Jesus, and then to the brothers you come across in everyday life, brothers having a face and a heart, who sleep in our streets and question us when they walk past us.
The call of Christ, repeated a thousand times by Pope Francis, has reached the heart.
Lay people are committed to choosing one of these brothers and supporting him.
