Feast of "rice harvesting" in Khunpae
On February 25-26, the traditional annual event of “rice harvesting” was held this year at Khupae, a village in the Chiang Mai Region (Northern Thailand).
Many people from the nearby villages turned out for this event organized by Fr Suthon (Maepon community) Fr Athit (Residence of Huay Bong).
In the days leading up to the festival, many bagfuls of rice, fruit of the work of the previous days, were collected, prepared and taken to the village and then handed out to the people in need.
These days were also marked by prayer sessions, Eucharistic celebrations, and local festivals.
