Italy - Milan
On Saturday, June 9th in the Chapel of San Gottardo in Milan, two works of art made by Fr Ercole Ceriani scj, architect, were inaugurated at the presence of Card. Dionigi Tettamanzi, emeritus Achibishop of Milan.
This is an excerpt of the official presentation:
"Altar and Ambo, by father Ercole Ceriani, architect / artist, religious of the Congregation of Betharram. The artist links the direct experience of the material to his research project. Perhaps linked to the charism of the Founder of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Betharram that is to be at the service of the Church, open to all kinds of pastoral work - , he tries to transfuse the transformed material into the liturgical elements. In these two pieces of art, Altar and Ambo, we can find the spirit of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy of the Second Vatican Council, reminding us of the same dignity to be given to the Table of the Word ant the Table of the Eucharsit
Congratulation, Fr Ercole!
