Brazil - Belo Horizonte
On May 28th and 29th , our Regional Scholasticate in Horizonte lived once more the meaningful celebration of the Feast of St. Benedict (the black saint).
Come from various parts of Belo Horizonte and surrounding towns, several groups of Congo and Mozambique danced and praised their patron saints: Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Benedict and St. Philomena. On Sunday morning was served a delicious breakfast to the congadas and to all those present, then there was a large procession of Our Lady of the Rosary around our religious house ... The height of the festival was the celebration of Holy Mass (Conga mass), presided by Fr. Antônio Scarpa, in charge of the Betharramite parish of Belo Horizonte . "Let us pray that the tradition and faith of this people perpetuate, and continue to reveal Jesus with their simple and humble way of being." (Br. Eudes)
