San Bernardino (Paraguay) 7 May 2017 - We started with Sunday Mass at the Sanctuary of Caacupé, which is a shrine of Our Lady within the Diocese of Caacupé. The Mass (on the theme of the 'Good Shepherd') was celebrated by the Bishop Claudio Jimenez, with two Betharramite Bishops Emeritus (Mons. Claudio Silvero SCJ and Mons. Ignacio Gogorza SCJ), and thousands of pilgrims.

A small group from the Vicariate of England gathered together from the 12th March until the evening of the 13th.

On 5 th and 6th December the English Vicariate members gathered together in Nympsfield for the Advent togetherness day.

The Vicariate gathered for our Assembly 4th and 5th December. Fr Austin Hughes SCJ presented the main themes from the General Chapter - ‘Be Open’ ‘Arise’ and ‘Walking Together’, at which we received a copy of the Acts of the XXVIII General Chapter.

When talking about miracles and Pyrenees the thought  turns immediately to Lourdes. But this important place of Christian pilgrimage is not the only sanctuary in the area...

Since November, 17, the General bursar, Fr. Graziano Sala scj, has been in Asuncion (Paraguay) to begin the preparations for the next General Chapter which will be held there from 6 to 24 May 2017.
