Tuesday 2 April - Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, Superior General, on a canonical visit to the Vicariate of Argentina and Uruguay, went to the Province of Tucumán to meet some descendants of the family of Fr. Augusto Etchecopar.

8 June - Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, Superior General, Fr Enrico Frigerio SCJ, Regional Superior and Fr Chan Kunu SCJ, Regional Vicar in Thailand, paid a courtesy call to Fr Joseph Tran Hoa Húng SDB, Episcopal Vicar for the Religious Life in the diocese of Ho Chi Minh City.

Maria Kripa's community (Mangalore, India) celebrated Onam's Festival with Fr Gustavo Agin SCJ, Superior General and Fr Arul Gnana Prakash SCJ, Regional Vicar for India.

From March 3 to 9, during his canonical visit to the Vicariate of Argentina and Uruguay, the Superior General visited the community of Montevideo-Tacuarembó. The community, after giving back to the Diocese the care of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, is much more available for the new mission that has been entrusted to them by the Regional Superior:  Fr. Victor is in charge of the pastoral care in the College "de los Vascos" in Montevideo for two weeks. The rest of the time is devoted to the missionary activity of the first proclamation of the Gospel in the Diocese of Tacuarembó.

The Union of Superiors General held its 82nd General Assembly in the Salesianum in Rome from 27 to 29 November. The Holy Father chose to meet with the Superiors for three hours, rather than the short encounter envisaged: no address was prepared in advance, but instead a long, colloquial and fraternal discussion took place, composed of questions and answers.

In the retreat house "Our Lady of the Cenacle”, in the district of Venda Nova Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), the Vicariate of Brazil held a week long meeting: January 27 -31.

On January 17, the Religious of the Vicariate of Central African Republic gathered around Father Jean-Luc Morin SCJ (Regional Superior) in the community of St Michael Bouar, at the end of his visit to the Vicariate.

On 26th of May with deep joy the English Vicariate celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination of Fr. Brian Boyle SCJ.

On 19th March 2021, the Members of the English Vicariate gathered together virtually to celebrate the Solemnity of St Joseph. It was a beautiful occasion as we reminisced about St Joseph.

The Vicariate of India had the joy of celebrating the Silver Jubilee ofthe first commitment of fathers Britto Rajan & Biju Paul Alappat along with the Regional Council and with the neighbouring religious communities.
