Prayer for the 27th General Chapter

Chiang Mai, 23 June - We began the day with the Eucharistic celebration. It was presided by Fr. Wilfred and the prayer was organised by St. Miriam region.

Betharram - From Monday, July 24, the General Council began in the presence of all the councilors.

On 30 August, at the Generalate in Rome, the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, convened the General Council to officially open the consultations coming from all the Vicariates of the Congregation for the appointment of Regional Superiors, Regional Vicars and of the Regional Bursars, as required by the Rule of Life.

On Sunday 9 August, the “Saint-Michel” Care Center in Bouar (Community of Bouar - Saint-Michel Garicoïts) received a visit of Pierre Somse, Health Minister of the Central African Government.

Monday, April 14, Holy Monday - The teachers of St. Joseph’s of Buenos Aires explained to the children of the Primary School how delightful it is to live as brothers and to share the meal! Tuesday, April 15, Holy Tuesday, in the Chapel of the College, the rite of the “sharing the bread of Jesus" was celebrated. It is a special bread because, whoever eats it, will have Jesus as a guest in his heart.

In mid-April, the house of welcome of Adiapodoume (Ivory Coast) began its activities, by opening its doors to the Sisters Servants of Mary, who made a retreat led by the Superior of the community of formation, Fr Sylvain Dansou SCJ.

In our 27th General Chapter we would like to make a discernment on the situation of our congregation called to better respond to this “Church going forth”, wanted by Pope Francis.
