On 10th December the community of Shobhana Shaakha along with the members of the group Jesus Youth organized a small Christmas programme for the children.

On 13th December 2011 at 7 am Br. Vipin Joseph renewed his vows in Shobhana Shaakha Chapel.

We are happy to share our joy on the occasion of the visit to our community by Fr. Gaspar, Sup. Gen. and Fr. Enrico, Vicar General. They spent with us two/three days before leaving for Mangalore for the Diaconate ordination of Bro. Jose and Bro. Arul in Maria Kripa, our house of formation, on  August 11, 2011.

On February 6th , Shobhana Shaakha, formation house and novitiate of the region Blessed Miriam, received two French priests from dioceses where Betharram is present.

From August 9th , the Superior General and his Vicar, are in India to visit our communities and to participate in some ordinations of our Indian Brothers.

On January 6th six Betharramite Brothers made their perpetual vows in the Chapel of Shobhana Shaakha, Bangalore.

On April 20th , the Novices of the Blessed Miriam Region along with the guest of the Community went for a pilgrimage, as an event of the Year of Faith, to the Tomb of St.Thomas, the Apostle of India.This Historical place is situated in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, South India.

On 14 May  the Indian Vicariate will inaugurate the celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of St Michael Garicoits’s death with the First Profession of Br Shamon Devasia Valiyaveetil and Br Reegan Vincent Raj in the Chapel of Shobhana Shakha, Bangalore.

March 15th – 26th -   Fr. Biju Allapat, the vicar of India and Fr. Enakius, the Indian Vicariate Bursar had their official visit to North East of India.

On October 26th the Betharram Fathers and Brothers started their mission in Hojai, (Assam, Northeast India) with the celebration of Divali (Feast of light).
