Mrs Maria José Trameri, sister of Fr. Albino Trameri scj, passed away during the night from the 16 to 17 the July at the age of 83.

Yesterday, February 8, we received the sad news of the death of Fr. Gilbert Koffi Kouman, a priest of the Ivory Coast, formerly a Betharramite religious. He died of cardiac arrest. He was 54 years old.

On May 13, feast of our founding father St Michael Garicoïts, Fr. Gilberto Ortellado Maldonado SCJ celebrated twenty years of his priestly ordination, twelve of which spent in the Betharramite Vicariate of Brazil.

The church in Thailand celebrates it's 350th Anniversary of the beginning of the evangelization of the Catholic Mission of Siam. At the same time, the Vicariate of Thailand celebrates it's 68 years of presence in the Asian Country. This celebration is held from 20 till 26 October 2019 & it is led by Rev. Fr. John Chan Kunu SCJ, the Regional Vicar in Thailand. They celebrate it by making the annual retreat by walking in the footsteps of the first missionaries.

The novices of the Region Saint Mary of Jesus Crucified had their one month Ignatian Retreat at the Ignatian Retreat Centre in Kannur ( Kerala) from May 22 to June 22, under the guidance of Fr Raju Augustine SJ.

Brumadinho August 17 - Today Mrs. Maria Madalena dos Reis, 90 years old, has died. She was the mother of Fr. Wagner dos Reis Azevedo SCJ, Superior of the community of Passa Quatro, Vicariate of Brazil.
