From 9 to 11 July, in the Retreat House "Sacred Heart" in San Bernardino (Paraguay), the Betharramite religious and laity of the Fr. Augusto Etchecopar Region held the VII ELAB (Meeting of the Latin American Betharramites).

The Superior General, Fr Gaspar Fernandez Perez, has been in Bethlehem since 19 of October to preach a retreat to the Carmelite Sisters, who invited him to share with them the spirituality of St. Michael Garicoïts.

On 28 and 29 November the Assembly of the Holy Land Vicariate was held in Bethlehem. The members of the communities of Bethlehem and Nazareth-Zarqa gathered around the Regional Vicar for the Holy Land, Fr Pietro Felet and the  Regional Superior Fr Jean-Luc Morin, for an exchange of views  on the life of the Vicariate.

In the late afternoon of December 25, Father Pietro Felet was given the title of "archpriest" by Archbishop Raphael Minassian, Armenian and Eastern Europe Catholic Archbishop as a token of gratitude for the services rendered.

From May 3rd to 8th our guest house in Nazareth hosted a symposium gathering the Carmelites of the Holy Land and dedicated to the Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified.

On February 12 the new Church of Balaa was blessed. The Bishop was welcomed by the people at 9.30 on the bridge on the river Maetam and then escorted to the village at the sound of gongs and drums.
