Wednesday, May 17 - After the morning Prayer, we continued the work in the different groups. At 11 am we gathered together to reflect on the different proposals of the groups.

From August 8th to 13th, in the Betharramite community of Mendelu (Spain), a camp was attended by young people from France, Italy and Ivory Coast. In a climate of true fraternity, young people have been involved in the preparation of next year's camp in Katiola, Ivory Coast.

On February 11, Fr Théophile Dégni SCJ, of the community of Monteporzio (Rome), organized the 25th World Day of the Sick at the Hospital San Raffaele at Rocca di Papa.

On 27 October, World Mission Day was held at the Sacred Heart Parish of Lissone (Italy).

What impressions are we taking away with us after the WYD last July first in Paulinia and the in Rio de Janeiro? Joy, prayer, sharing, mutual welcome, adaptation, sacrifice, weariness. Everything contributed to make these days intense and full of meaning.

In 1986 when he launched the World Youth Days Jean Paul II wanted to be in contact with the youth of the whole world, show them that the Church had trust in them, and share his faith in Jesus Christ with them. Since then the WYD have become a real “festival of faith.” Along with the young pilgrims from all corners of the globe many religious are now taking part in this adventure of faith-sharing which is spent in singing, dancing, sleeping outdoors in a sleeping bag, long walks with bubbling youth. This experience leaves a lasting impression on these religious.
