On July 16, the 6th  edition of the meeting of the Betharramite religious in Latin America (ELAB), was inaugurated  in the community of Lambaré (Asunción - Paraguay).

From July 16 to 19 the Religious of the Father Auguste Etchecopar Region gathered in Lambaré, Paraguay, for the ELAB (gathering of Betharramites in Latin America). Fr Gaspar Fernandez, the Superior General, and Fr Graziano Sala, secretary-bursar general, are also present.

On August 20-24, the Betharramite Religious of the Vicariate of Paraguay made their annual retreat. In these days of prayer, the religious kept a vivid memory of Fr Rogelio Ramirez scj, who died recently.

On Saturday, March 5th , the Fr Etchecopar Region, lived an unforgettable celebration in San Joaquin, Paraguay, when the Bishop of Coronel Oviedo ordained as a priest the Deacon Alberto Zaracho Barrios, born in San Joaquin.

From Wednesday evening April 20th  to Sunday morning April 24th was held the first Holy Week Mission of the FVD Group .

Tuesday, October 30th, the communities of the Vicariate of Paraguay, gathered for the  the third "Inter-community Meeting" at La Colmena, Betharramite Parish about 160 km from Asunción.

Sunday, September 1st, the community of St. Andrea in Antognano - Parma – expressed its gratitude to father Maurizio Vismara for the stretch of road walked together and wished him farewell!

On December 29, 2017, Pope Francis accepted the resignation of our brother, Mgr. Vincent Landel SCJ, as Archbishop of Rabat, due to age limits. On the same date, the Pope appointed as Archbishop of Rabat Fr. Cristóbal López Romero, SDB, until now Provincial of the Salesian Province of Maria Auxiliadora in Spain.

On May 23, the eve of the Solemnity of Pentecost, eight days after her canonization that had taken place in Rome, Sr Mary of Jesus Crucified was celebrated at Pau, (France) a town so dear to her. This celebration is traditionally held on the Saturday nearest to the anniversary of the transverberation of her heart, which occurred on May 24, 1868 in the Carmel of Pau.

On May 23, in the Chapel of the former Carmel of Pau, as part  of the celebrations in honor of St. Mary of Jesus Crucified, three Betharram Fathers gave a lecture on the newly canonized Saint.
