The second assembly of the Vicariate of France-Spain took place on Monday 25 April to reflect on the theme of General Chapter (second stage).

On 29 May, in the chapel of the archbishop's house of Bangalore, Br. Akhil Joseph Thykkuttathil SCJ was ordained a deacon by Most. Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore.

23rd April 2021, Solemnity of St. George, Patron of England. The SCJ community in Nottingham, UK, along with some of the Parishioners in two groups of 6 celebrated Earth Day (22nd April 2021) by walking 3.5 miles in the beautiful part of Clifton Grove near to the SCJ community. Our Regional Superior Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ was also present as he was visiting our community.

On 9th January, we the St. Mariam Region novices travelled to Kerala for the one month retreat at Loyola in Aluva (Jesuits training centre). On 11th January we went for the ordination of Fr. Jacob. On 12th Jan we along with the Jesuit novices went for the pilgrimage to Malayattor (St. Thomas Mount) and also to Sameeksha, a place of Spiritual center that is in Kalady, to get the blessings from the fathers as a part of preparation.

Sunday, December 20 -  The Betharramite community of Pibrac set up a very grand celebration: the opening of the Holy Door in the Basilica of St. Germaine; this Basilica, in fact,  was chosen to be one of three Jubilee Churches in the Diocese of Toulouse.

On Sunday 11 February 2018 the Sanctuary of Lourdes celebrated 160 years of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette Soubirous. We know that between Betharram and Lourdes there was a very strong bond, because St. Bernadette would come to Betharram to meet St. Michael Garicoits.

From 18 to 20 of September the community of Belo Horizonte (Brazil), hosted  the meeting of the Betharramite laity of Brazil.
