In preparation for the bicentennial of the First Communion of St. Michael Garicoits, the Italian community of formation made a proposal for May 21th:

August 4th. Mr. Luigi Vismara, father of Fr Maurizio, Superior of the community of Montemurlo (Italy), died in Carate Brianza.

On February 14-15, thirty religious of the Italian Vicariate held a general assembly at Casaglia, a town near Albiate (Milan).

As of tradition, the Mission Animation Team of the Italian Vicariate has published a nice diary in order to support the activities of our missionaries in Central African Republic.

Fr. Jean-Luc Morin, Superior of the Region St Michael Garicoits, and the Vicar for Italy Fr. Aldo Nespoli, have started a fraternal visit to the communities of the Vicariate of Italy. These meetings are meant to foster a better understanding of each other and a sharing of experiences.

On September 16 Mrs Donatella Pesenti died after a short period of illness. She had been for almost 20 years the housekeeper in a Betharram community in charge of the Shrine “Our Lady of Caravina” (Italy).

On September 21, after a short period of illness, Mrs Maria Sala, aged 87, died at Desio (Italy). She was mother of Br Angelo Sala scj, of the community Saint Michael at Bouar (Central African Republic).

On  June 12th, a booklet, "Guidelines for spirituality of the Betharramite Fathers ", will be presented in the premises of the Parish of the Sacred Heart at Lissone.

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 of September, in our Parish Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lissone (Mi), will be held the National Gathering of the Italian Lay people of the Betharramite Family (on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Foundation of the Parish).

On September 17-18, the Betharram Lay Assocites of the Vicariate of Italy gathered in Lissone for their 4th National Gathering.
