Saturday, on February 19th , the community of Bethlehem celebrated with joy the 80th anniversary of Father Henri Lamasse, assistant novice master.

Since June 6th in Bethlehem , the Region St. Michael Garicoïts novices, their master and his assistant, are participating in a session on the Desert Fathers, at the Greek Catholic Sisters’ Monastery of the Emmanuel.

From June 26th to 28th, in their home in Bethlehem, the novices of the St. Michael Garicoits Region, their master and his assistant were in session.

July 5-16, the novices of the Saint Michel Region, accompanied by their Maser, Father Hervé Kouame, finished third and fourth weeks of the Spiritual Exercises.

From Sunday, June 26th in the afternoon to the next Tuesday 5 pm, the novices of the Region Saint Michael Garicoits, their master and his assistant meditated on the theme of nonviolent communication.

This Tuesday, August 16, Father Hervé novice master of the Region St. Michael Garicoits invited to the community of Bethlehem, Father Stéphane Milovitch guardian (superior) of the Franciscan community of the Church of the Nativity to give a lecture on the Franciscans, who have been in Holy Land for more than eight centuries.

The Superior General, Fr Gaspar Fernandez Perez, has been in Bethlehem since 19 of October to preach a retreat to the Carmelite Sisters, who invited him to share with them the spirituality of St. Michael Garicoïts.

Sunday, October 28, the Mother Church of Jerusalem officially started the year of Faith, launched by Pope Benedict XVI.

On 28 and 29 November the Assembly of the Holy Land Vicariate was held in Bethlehem. The members of the communities of Bethlehem and Nazareth-Zarqa gathered around the Regional Vicar for the Holy Land, Fr Pietro Felet and the  Regional Superior Fr Jean-Luc Morin, for an exchange of views  on the life of the Vicariate.

On December 25, the Nazareth community  (Frs Damiano Colleoni, Gaston Hialé and Philippe Hourcade) joined the religious of Bethlehem and the Regional Superior (Frs. Pietro Felet, Henry Lamasse, Luigi Speziale and Jean-Luc Morin) to celebrate Christmas in the birthplace of Christ.
