The Nativity of the Lord

Friday, May 9, as part of the program for the conclusion of the Jubilee Year in honor of St. Michael Garicoïts, a “betharramite sporting event” was organized in the football grounds of San Jose College and Sacred Heart College of Martin Coronado.

On Sunday 28 April, at the Sacred Heart Parish at Lissone, there took place a meeting of young lay Betharramites, from Montemurlo and Lissone, who spent time together in a spirit of friendship.

Today, feast day of St. Michael Garicoits (and day of the release of the NEF), is the opening of the 26th General Chapter in our residence in Bethlehem.

On the morning of May 14th, the Carmelite chapel hosted the Mass in honour of St. Michael Garicoits, at the opening of the General Chapter of the Congregation founded by him.

On Sunday, 15th May, the second day of the General Chapter, we had a day of recollection.

Tuesday, on 17th May, was a special day at the General Chapter, in fact, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of priesthood (Silver Jubilee) of Fr Graziano Sala, superior of the Saint Michael Region.

After a day spent in our vicariates and regions, we devoted 17th and 18th May to the sharing of our gifts, realities and talents of each of the vicariates in the congregation.

Thursday 19th May, saw in the morning the Superior General Fr Gaspar Fernandez present his report on the state of the Congregation since the last general chapter of 2005.
